When is the best time to visit Bhutan?
Each of Bhutan’s four unique seasons is beautiful and charming in its own right. Bhutan may be visited all year round. Therefore, the choice of your trip window is totally up to you.
- Spring (March, April & May)
A botanist’s dream comes true in spring when a variety of flowers begin to blossom.
Likewise, during the winter months, plants begin to bloom after a protracted period of hibernation. Flowers like edelweiss, rhododendron and wild azaleas cover the meadows like carpet and offer a fresh feeling of wonder. to the scenery of Bhutan.
2. summer (july, august, and June)
Weeping willows cover the sides of numerous rivers, flowers are in full bloom, and valleys are covered with greenery during this time of year. Pine cones glitter in the light and are so brimming with resin that they are ready to fall to the ground.
3. Autumn (September, October & November)
The entire terrain gets a golden tint at this time. It’s just breathtaking to see Bhutan’s countryside in the Autumn when the farmers are harvesting their crops in the golden-hued paddy fields beneath the clear blue skies.
4. Winter (December, January & February)
Winter is not all bad. The days are bright and sunny, but the evenings may get cold. Clouds hang lazily over mountain peaks as though they were waiting for fresh air to sweep them across the landscape. One can clearly see the world’s tallest snow-covered Himalayan mountain ranges during Bhutan’s winter months.
